Hot Water

I spend a lot of time in hot water.  Literally. I lie in the bathtub every morning and in the hot tub each night.  The thing that’s important is that I lie or float so that my ears are underwater and there is no noise to distract me. I learned it from a social worker who was a massage client of mine over twenty years ago and she told me she had learned from her dad.  I lie back, close my eyes and visualize the things that have the potential to bother me as being water soluble.  I soak and feel those things dissolve. When I get up, they go down the drain and mostly disappear.  I saw that social worker only one time when she had a gift certificate for a massage but I mentally thank her every day for teaching me this.
