Traveling Angels

When the sun is shining, angels are traveling.  I don’t know the origin of the expression but I loved the sound of it when someone told it to me.  Of course, it didn’t hurt that that person had a delightful British accent — most things sound better that way.  Yet now that I’m thinking about it, I’ve got an issue with this seeming unavailability of angels.  If I have an immediate need for angels and the day happens to be overcast, will they text and say they’re sorry but they can’t accommodate me until the barometer rises?  An angel’s job description as I have always understood it, is to hang around the sidelines and be available at a moment’s notice.  At least those are the ones I want assigned to me.  Fair weather angels need not apply.

They are already right there watching over you – they traveled to you the last time it was sunny.
