Waitts Lake

There is an elderly couple who lives up the street and walks past my house each morning.  Their pace is relatively snail-like but I love seeing them out getting daily exercise together.  She always wears a hat, he’s always in overalls, and they walk hand in hand — I exchange pleasantries and small talk with them when I happen to see them.  One day recently I talked a little longer with them and it found out it was their anniversary.  They started telling me about the wonderful trip they had taken for their honeymoon and reminisced about the incredible sights they had seen.  Curious, I asked them where they had gone and was pretty surprised when they told me it was Waitts Lake.  Waitts Lake is a small body of water, really not much bigger than a pond, only about thirty miles north of where we live.  Looking through the eyes of love.
