Tyranny

We have an electric toothbrush with an expectation of two minutes of brushing time.  When we use it we say we are “going under the brush”.  I think the two minutes are probably typical and they go pretty fast — but at our house we have come to refer to the time constraint as “the tyranny of the toothbrush”. I have to admit that I feel a little smug if I turn it off just slightly before the two minutes is up.  I like putting one over on the toothbrush.
