Tech Trouble
I’m back in the blog business. Lightly Tethered to the Earth had a major issue with the most recent update of WordPress and for twelve days I haven’t been able to get into the guts of my website and post anything. My head is so full of stuff that sparks are starting to come out of my ears. I don’t know computer language or how to write code nor do I wish to learn those things but thank heavens for the tech people who do. It’s true — you never know what you’ve got till it’s gone and I never appreciated my website as much as when it was inaccessible. I am truly grateful for Matt, the specific WordPress magician who saved me and has done so on more than one occasion. I’m not his only client and he has another business so sometimes it takes a while for him to get to my glitchy site and I’m appreciative when he does. I never realize how much I depend on his expertise until things go awry. He has worked with me so many times that it feels like I know him but the truth is, we have never actually met. Just like Blanche DuBois, I can say that I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.
